Protect and SurviveProtect and Survive is a public information series on civil defence produced by the British government during the Cold War, intended to inform British citizens on how to protect themselves during a nuclear attack.
The Irish folk group The Dubliners mocked this “piece of paper”(“It’s no use to you when you’re dead/Nor even when alive”) in their homonymous song (https://songlink.io/i/78905865), which is full of black humor. This is a reference to both the song and the Protect and Survive pamphlet (which I think had a great and iconic design). |
